ELECTIONS FOR THE SUFFOLK POLICE AND CRIME COMMISSIONER WILL TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY 2 MAY 2024.
To vote in the 2024 Police and Crime Commissioner Elections, Babergh and Mid Suffolk residents must:
be registered to vote
be 18 or over on the day of the election (‘polling day’)
be a British, Irish, qualifying Commonwealth or EU citizen
be resident at an address in England or Wales (excluding London)
not be legally excluded from voting. All polling station voters must present Voter ID prior to receiving their ballot papers.

To vote at these elections you must be registered to vote (https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote) by Tuesday 16 April 2024
The deadline for new postal voting applications and for making changes to existing postal and proxy votes at these elections (https://www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote) is Wednesday 17 April 2024, 5pm
The deadline for new proxy vote applications at these elections (https://www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote) is Wednesday 24 April 2024, 5pm
The deadline for Voter Authority Certificate applications is Wednesday 24 April 2024, 5pm
If you do not have access to a valid form of Voter ID, you can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate (https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate).
