On Saturday, 22nd April, a convoy of WW2 vehicles brought a group of US visitors on a reunion tour with the Red Feather Club to the Redlingfield Memorial.
There was a sort ceremony of remembrance for the ten American aircrew that died when their B-17 bomber crashed on to Green Farm during take-off from Horham airfield in November 1943. 95th Bomb Group veteran Ray Hobbs laid a wreath at the memorial.
The 95th Bomb Group reunions, hosted by the Red Feather Club, see groups of relatives of the men who served at Horham during WW2, and occasionally a 95th Bomb Group veteran, visit the area for a series of events and get-togethers. This year's reunion was from Thursday, 20th April to Tuesday, 25th April and was been organised by Redlingfield's own Beverley Abbott and Linda Woodward from Stradbroke.
