Redlingfield’s winter coffee mornings have been enjoyed and hosted by villagers. They were hosted in November by Linda Hudson and in December by David and Jacqueline Love. On the latter occasion a record 29 people enjoyed mulled wine, mince pies and a free raffle. The record attendance included two BBC researchers looking for older people to appear on a TV show looking at the challenges facing retired people. Jan Butcher hosted the January coffee morning and Pat Kelly hosted the one in February. We end the winter meetings on March 7th at the home of Chris and Midge Gibbons where there will be a free raffle. I would like to thank Hazel Abbott for her delicious scones, sausage rolls, cakes, etc., which she provides each month without fail.
